Children: The Judgement Day (Part 4)

Jesus Christ owns everything in creation. One day He’s going to come back and history will be over and we will all give account to Him and be judged.

Tim: So children, you still have one more day, but this is my last day. So, what I am doing today is I am wrapping this thing up. We’re coming to the end, at least of what I’m bringing. And you know what? This one excites me! But it’s kind of scary if you’re not a Christian. Can you imagine what picture I have first?

Children: A rock!

Tim: Now you know why I put that up there today? I’m not going to ask you if it’s God. I’m not going to ask you if it’s man. I’m not going to ask you if it’s Jesus Christ. Today, I’m going to tell you something about that rock. That rock belongs to the Lord Jesus Christ. He is Lord. He is the King of kings. He owns it all. He owns that rock. He owns that turtle. I want you to think. He owns the mountains. And He owns the lakes. And he owns the trees and He owns the clouds. They’re His. When you go out, you look at them. You might go visit the mountains. Your parents might take you there. But you know what? Those belong to the Lord. And He can do with them what He wants. He owns the oceans. He owns all the animals including the butterflies and the lizards and the cattle and the tigers. He owns them all. Every animal. You know that snake? That snake doesn’t really belong to Eric – not in the truest sense. You know why? God can take it away from him anytime. God could have that die tonight. The Lord is in control. The Lord owns them all. He made them all. He created. Nothing was created that Jesus didn’t create. He owns the deserts. It’s all His. He owns the cities. San Antonio belongs to Him. People like to say they own things, but they don’t really own them. Because there’s nothing that they have that can’t be taken away from them. God could wipe that city out in a moment if He so determined. The Lord owns that city and every city. And He owns the farms. And He owns the plants. He owns all the food. It’s all His. He owns everything. He owns all the people. And He owns you. You belong to Him. You’re not actually you’re own. You belong to Him. And you’re accountable to Him. He made you. He owns the sun. He owns the moon. He owns the stars. Now, we need lots of volume. Have we got full volume over there? Let me tell you something. All these things that He owns, He owns them all. And you know what? Time goes on. And you know what the Bible says? There are some people that say, “Oh, it’s the same today as it was yesterday. And the same as the day before that. And the same as the day before that, and the day before that.” And you know what? “So, I expect tomorrow’s going to be just the same.” But you know what? One of these days, we’re going to be wrong. Because you know what the Bible says? The Bible says that everything is going along just like it always has. But then we’re going to come to a day that’s called the last day. All those stars, the sun, the moon, the deserts, the mountains, the lakes – all of it.

We’re going to be going along through life and you know what’s going to happen? What’s going to happen? What happens? I want you to listen. Because what the Bible says is that there’s going to be a last trumpet. The trumpet of God. We’re going to be going along through life. We’re going to be stopped in our tracks. That’s true. It’s going to be loud – a lot louder than that. It’ll stop every person. Because time is over. Time is done. All of our lives are done when that last trumpet blows. It’s all over. There’s no second chances. We don’t get to live our lives again. And it actually says it’s a trumpet. This is what the Scripture says. “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.” And Christ will come. And it’ll be over.

And children, this isn’t like watching a Disney movie. This isn’t like what does everybody watch these days? What movies are you guys watching? But I’ll tell you this, this isn’t like that. It’s not a fairy tale. This is real. The Lord is going to come. And you know what? Every single day that goes by, we’re one day closer to His coming. Every single day, we’re one day closer to His coming. Watch. Here’s an animated picture of this. Life is normal. Just normal life. People eat. People drink. People going to work. People on the bus. People waiting at the bus stop. They’re talking to people. That’s how it’s going to be in the last day. Everything just going on as normal. People riding in the taxi. Just going on with life. That’s how you live today. That’s how we live everyday. But our Lord tells us we should live in light of a day that’s coming when there is no more time. “The day of the Lord will come like a thief.” It means when you’re not ready. “And then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.” What the Bible says is all of this is going to burn up. And there’s going to be a lake of fire for those who knew not Christ. There is a true lake of fire, children. And death and Hades are going to be turned into it. All the liars. All those who would not trust Christ. But you know what? Like Pilgrim’s Progress, those who had a burden of sin; those who were burdened with their sins and they asked the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive their sins and take that big pack off their back. For them, there’s going to be glory. These pictures don’t do justice to this. These are just something artists; just the brightness of the heavenly city, of eternity, paradise with Jesus Christ. Who knows? How can we say? In Pilgrim’s Progress, the angel carried the two of them. Once they crossed the river of death, away to paradise. You can see up here just the artist’s rendition, there’s something – it’s beautiful. It’s glorious. For those that trusted Christ, there is eternal life. I just pulled these pictures out because they’re beautiful, but the beauty of heaven goes way beyond, way beyond. And I pulled this picture because there in Revelation, it says that He’s going to wipe every tear away. There will be no more death. There will be no more sorrow. There will be no more sickness or disease. None of that. He’ll take away death. No one will ever die. Death will be forgotten. That’s just a picture of the ocean and clouds, but heaven – there will be such beauty and peace. And we’ll be with God. And Scripture says that we will behold Him face to face. Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God. And there’s no need for sun or for moon. Christ Himself is going to be the light. Children, what I just showed you, this is real. This is coming. The days of this earth are limited. Jesus might come before you die. He could come today. He may come in your lifetime. But you know what? Whether He comes or not in your lifetime, all of you will otherwise die. You’re either going to die first or Christ is going to come first. And listen, children, this isn’t like the movies you watch. This isn’t make-believe. This is real. This is going to happen. Now these were just animated pictures of what’s going to happen, but it’s really going to happen. This is how it all ends. And you know what? If you reject Jesus, you saw, children, there is a lake of fire. That’s not make-believe. Children, I’m not here just to try to scare you. But your sins are bad. They’re bad enough to deserve that. That’s how bad they are. And even though you’re young, they’re still bad. Because your sin is falling short of God’s glory. Your sin is an attack on God’s glory. And even at your young ages, you’ve committed so many sins that this is what you deserve. But Jesus went to that cross and He died. He died to take that load of guilt and wretchedness off your backs and to give you paradise. That’s what He offers us. Can you imagine that? For bad people like us, He offers us paradise, if we’ll but trust Him. And call upon Him to forgive us of our sins.

Children, this is what I want to leave you with. The prospect of heaven is before you if you’ll trust Christ. Eternal life. The eternal glory. When you cry… when you cry it’s because you’re sad; it’s because you’re hurt. Sometimes because you’re angry maybe. Do you know if you trust Christ, God’s going to wipe that away. But if you don’t trust Christ, in this place, there’s weeping forever. Children, what you don’t want is you don’t want to have the truth spoken in your ears and then to reject it and go on and live your life without Christ and then die in the end and have to meet God. Don’t do that! What I’m telling you is Jesus is willing to save you even at your young ages. And I told you this yesterday, and I’ll keep telling you this. Talk to Him. He’s close to you. Talk to Him right now. Ask Him to save you. Ask Him to forgive your sins. Have you ever heard anything like this before? I want you all to think about this. Think about what I’m telling you. Jesus Christ – He suffered for sin so that you don’t have to. But if you don’t trust Him, then you’ll have to pay for your own sins. That’s what those people in the lake of fire are doing. They’re paying for sins. Children, your sins have to be paid for. And either Jesus does that on the cross or you have to do that. Talk to Him. Talk to Him. Where is He? You can’t see Him, but if you speak – even in your mind, if you think, He knows. He can hear. He’s close to you. He can hear. If you want His help, He knows. If you ask Him for help even inside, even without saying it, but you just think it in your mind: “Lord, help me,” He hears. Go to Him. He’s good. He’s ready to save. He came into the world to save sinners. He came into the world to save people from hell; from the lake of fire. That is what all of our sins deserve. But He came to save sinners. And if you feel that you’re a sinner and you need to be saved, then we’ve got an answer for you. His name is the Lord Jesus Christ. And He will save you. If you trust Him, He will save you. There’s no question, because He’s given His word that He’ll do that. So children, you think on these things. Father, I pray – I pray that the children would be gripped by the realities that lay ahead for this world, for them, for all of this creation. We know that this present heavens and earth – the heavens are going to be burned up with fire. We recognize that it is all going to be replaced with a new heaven and a new earth in which righteousness reigns. And oh, Lord, we that are Your people, we long for that. But Father, we want to bring our children with us. We want our whole families to be redeemed. Lord, we don’t want to be separated. We so desire that our children would be there in glory with us. Please, Father, You can make that happen. We beg Your mercy for our children. In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.
