Why Did Jesus Die?

Why did Jesus die? It’s a question that causes many to say, “Why ask that? We all know the answer already.” Most are quick to say “He died to forgive us”, which He did. However Jesus died not only to pay for the penalty of our sins, but to also save us from the power of sin. True salvation is not just being justified legally before God, but it’s to be born again and become a new creature by the power of God.
